2 Corinthians 5:14
...for Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

This passage sounds great. I love thinking about the fact that Christ's love can compel me. In different versions, we read that Christ's love "controls" us, "rules" us, and "moves" us. But when you start to think about it, do you know what it really means to be compelled, controlled, ruled, and moved by Christ's love? I don't.

We have to start by forming a true understanding of Christ's love for us. He doesn't just love us sometimes, he doesn't just give us a blessing every once in a while, and he certainly never forgets about us. Christ died for us. That's his love, and that's what compels us.

I have some ideas about what it might mean, though.
